About IDK Racing

I started with little to no track experience and a simple goal: learn how to drive fast the right way.

What began as curiosity at HPDE events turned into a structured pursuit of improvement. Every session became an opportunity to measure, adjust, and repeat. Lap times were logged. Setup changes were documented. Mistakes were analyzed. Progress was earned one weekend at a time.

As experience grew, so did the ambition. What started in novice groups evolved into advanced HPDE driving and eventually into NASA Time Trial competition. Each step up the ladder brought new challenges, tighter margins, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to be competitive.

IDK Racing exists to document that progression in real time. This is not a finished product. It is an ongoing driver development project built around discipline, data, and deliberate practice.

The goal is not only to improve as a driver, but to make the path more visible for others who are starting from zero. Getting into HPDE events or competitive racing can feel intimidating from the outside. There are questions about cars, safety gear, costs, rules, classing, and where to even begin.

IDK Racing shares the process openly. The early mistakes. The learning curve. The setup changes that worked and the ones that did not. The transition from novice run groups to time trial competition. The small gains that add up over time.

If you are considering your first track day or wondering what it really takes to move toward competition, this project is proof that you do not need prior experience. You need curiosity, consistency, and the willingness to learn.

From zero experience to competitive driving and beyond, IDK Racing is about building skill the right way and bringing others along for the ride.
